Day 13 : 10/03/01 

If today was a holiday, it would have been Buffalo and Geyser day!

So yesterday we were so exited to see a couple buffalos on the border of the street, but today ... we saw hundred of thoudands of them. Some were crossing the streets, some were crossing the trails. We could get close enough to be really scared if it would have just turned its head a little to fast.

Buffalos seems to spend all their day either resting or walking slowly eating all they can and look at you when you pass by. They kind of are like cows, however they do not have that stupid look cows have, but more a look that tells you you're ok as long as you're not on their way.

Then we went to old faithfull geyser.. just when it turned off! So we had to wait an average 88 minutes (from 45 to 120 as the park guides say) for the next one. We were all ready to take pictures and film it as the eruption lasts around 1 to 5 mns. I guess we had a small one but still it was nice.

So that's what we did all day, hunt buffalos and wait for geysers.

So at first I was a little disapointed at this park as I was expecting way more colors, but then the wildlife is really amazing!! I would have never though you could get so close to a buffalo or see the kind of animals we could see.
